I tried to do a short review, but was not able, so I condensed it as much as I could. When I first came to Tres Vistas Recovery (TVR), I was scared, frantic, confused, and felt like my world and my life, had finally became so heavy, that I could no longer support it. I was there in CA, on the other side of the USA (I’m from Florida) and felt very alone and disconnected from everyone and everything familiar to me. A nice young lady there told me she was from the other side of the world, and she was OK, so I would be fine too. That helped put things into perspective for me right from the start. Still wary of these folks, I decided to listen to what they had to say, and take part in the programs and activities they had scheduled. I had been to many (8) treatment facilities over the past 15 years, prior to my coming to TVR. I was partially successful for short periods of time after some; others not so much. Not the fault of the other facilities, I just still did not get what I needed to get, so-to-speak. The folks at TVR helped me understand how to allow me to like myself, so that I could like and trust others. I’m not a trusting person at all, but I would trust these folks with my life, and so I did. As a result, I now have a better life. The folks there at TVR and the folks that come in to do various therapeutic activities like yoga, acupuncture, sound therapy, and rock-to-recovery, all work seamlessly together, forming the best team anyone could imagine. The facility is incredible. The living facilities, the meeting rooms, and outdoor areas are so nice, and provide a safe and serene environment for healing and recovery. The food the chefs prepare is superb. The staff at TVR truly care about the folks that come there for help, and it is very obvious that they want to do all that is necessary to help you, help you. When my inpatient treatment time was up, I was nowhere near ready to go back to Florida. I knew it and so did they. TVR helped me out by helping me find a way to stay in California at a sober living house, and attend daily IOP sessions for an additional 60 days. They personally selected the sober living house and it was an excellent choice. This changed my life. This really changed my life. I’m a slow learner sometimes, and the extended time with these truly awesome, caring people has made such a difference in my life, I know I will never be the same. I am a better me, because of them. I am truly grateful, and my life has been enriched, by my being able to meet and befriend the staff and fellow visitors at TVR. These folks have gone out of their way to facilitate me being able to attend monthly alumni meeting via FaceTime since I have now moved back to Florida. It is truly wonderful to see some of them again every month, and I hope to be able to see them all in person again in the future. I miss them and love them all dearly. Thank you TVR for all you have done for me.

This is kind of emotional for me to write. I don't even know where to begin. So I guess I'll begin at the beginning. I was terrified when I picked up the phone that day to call Tres Vistas. I just knew that I was out of options and had no where else to turn. The young lady who picked up the phone, immediately made me feel comfortable and gave me the confidence I needed to start down what would be one of the difficult, yet rewarding times of my life. I arrived the morning of December 6th and was immediately brought into Tres Vistas like I was family. The staff loved me, supported me and took care of me. I don't really even have the words. To say they went above and beyond would be an understatement. I now consider Tres Vistas family. I could not have done this without them. The house is absolutely incredible. The food, the staff, the therapy is second to none. My dad passed away while I was staying at Tres Vistas and there is truly no where else in the world that I would want to experience such a tragedy. Tres Vistas made me feel safe. The encouraged me. Loved me. Invited my family in to the house to be with me. It truly was the absolute best of one of the worst times of my life. I miss the house dearly. But I still see them and talk to them often. Tres Vistas is and will always be family to me. I love you guys more than you will ever know. And I could never fully express my gratitude. From the entirety of my heart. Thank you.

Today I have 186 days thanks to not only Tres Vistas Recovery but Dr. Daniel Headrick and his staff/team. They bring on 1 on 1 care and truly care. I came in broken, depressed, and could not see the light at the end of the tunnel but thanks to them and my willingness, today I have a future!
